My Summer Adventures at the USC Pre-College Introduction to Business Program

Hey everyone! It's Henry. I wanted to share the experience I had this summer at the USC Pre College Summer Program. I enrolled in the Introduction to Business course. Let me tell you, it was a fascinating journey. So sit back. Let’s explore all the things I discovered! Attending the USC Summer Programs was unlike anything I've ever experienced before. Just imagine getting a glimpse of college life while in school – it felt like a sneak peek into my future! I specifically chose the Introduction to Business course. It truly opened my eyes.

Throughout this course, we delved into the workings of running businesses. We explored all those details that make companies thrive – from marketing strategies to aspects and everything in between. It was remarkable how interconnected these elements are; they fit together like puzzle pieces to create a business. One of the highlights for me was learning about industries such, as entertainment, sports, and real estate.

USC Pre-College Summer Program - Introduction to Business

We had the opportunity to observe how consumer trends and economic factors influence these industries and how these industries, in turn, shape them. It's incredible to think that something as simple as people’s interests can have such an impact, on businesses. Oh, and let’s not forget about the world of entrepreneurship! We delved into the realm of starting something from scratch, whether it be solo ventures or exploring markets. I even gained an understanding of the importance of sustainability, ethics, and corporate social responsibility – factors that contribute not only to success but to ethical and responsible business practices.

Our daily schedule was packed with activities. We had classes in the morning and afternoon. We even had a break, for lunch.. Guess what? USC also organized events for us in the evenings and on weekends. Picture ice cream socials, game nights and even trips to Disneyland and the beach. It was a balance of learning and enjoyment. Speaking of learning the course itself was incredibly exciting as we delved into topics like business forms, economics, accounting, management and marketing. I even gained skills in reading and analyzing statements – a step towards adulthood! Remember when I mentioned the evening activities? Well that's where I had the chance to meet individuals who shared my interests and passions. We had a time together learning from one another and exploring things. It truly was an experience.

My experience, at the USC Pre College Summer Program was truly unforgettable. I had the opportunity to explore the world of business through engaging instructors got a sneak peek into college life and made connections with minded friends who shared my passion, for learning. It felt like a dream come true. Left a mark on me.

Until we meet again
Henry
